You love your buddies. You all get along and the vibes are still so good. What better way to throw those relationships into hell fire than to pack up the Camry and hit the road! Here are five quick and easy day trips that will tarnish your friendships and leave you more enraged than relieved.

1. Argue Over Directions at Big Sur
What day trip is more 'Bay Area' classic than Big Sur? Enticing photos of cliffs and waterfalls will almost convince you that this trip is foolproof! Almost. After leaving the dorms and piling into the car, you realize that this is your first attempt at vehicular transportation with your college pals. The road to this beautiful California landmark will be rife with subtle conflict over choosing "the pretty way" or the quickest route. Those with Apple Maps be damned. All will be relieved, however, when you finally get to Big Sur. But, all will be un-relieved when you realize you CANT ACTUALLY STAND ON THE FUCKING BEACH.
2. Make Light of a Friends Insecurity in Napa Valley
The vintners aren't the only people wining in this valley! Tucked within these golden, winding hills is a car of 20-somethings tip-toeing around a passive aggressive comment that's been hanging in the air for the past half an hour. Much like the scent of grapes, this sour-sweet aroma is enticing to those who mistakenly believe that day trips are a time for bonding through forced vulnerability and honesty. Activities of interest include drunkenly analyzing your friends flaws at wine tasting and questioning the "chauffers" driving skills at dawn.
3. Sit in Silence in San Francisco
This outing is perfect for those who choose to plan trips based off of others' Snapchat stories. With a classic lineup of train rides, the SFMOMA, and the Exploratorium, this trip screams "Oh please, someone else be interesting for us." Due to the surplus of reading and viewing material on a museum trip, this outing and its silence will make you question what you ever found intriguing about the friends around you. The pictures are gonna be bomb, though.
4. Pick Favorites at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk
The orange-pink glow of the sunset and the roar of the pacific ocean is the perfect setting to realize that you like Cindy waaaay better than the rest of your clique. Feel subtle guilt as you and Cindy develop hilarious inside-jokes in line for The Giant Dipper, one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world! As you pull away from the stodgy background characters that brought you here, sample the delicious fried Oreos. There's nothing like an amusement park to tell you whose amusing, and whose a monotonous lug.
5. Go to Yosemite
Seven hours of drive time and five hours of starving in the woods? You did this to yourself.
